"Art washes away from the soul, the dust of everyday life" Picasso

Welcome, I'm Louise, an artist living with my family, and working in a village in Kent, from my brand new Art Cabin in the garden.  For many years I have worked as a mural artist and as a teacher running art workshops for people from age 5 all the way up to 100!  Oh, and the small matter of raising two kids who are now in their late teens.  Now I want to devote more time painting and to create beautiful products with my designs as well as to work on commissions and to constantly develop my work.  You'll notice a couple of themes with my artwork.  Firstly I'm a little bit obsessed with Chinoiserie, I love the historic wallpapers from China and the stylised themes of birds, trees and nature.  Secondly, I'm a big fan of tropical style!  I was one lucky bunny as I grew up in the British Virgin Islands, and I think my work just goes to show "you can take the girl out of the tropics, but you can't take the tropics out of the girl!" I love the vibrant colours and beautiful flowers and birds of the Caribbean.  I hope you find inspiration on my site x
